It is immensely difficult to judge the effectiveness and ethicality of Affirmative Action. On one hand, Affirmative Action helps represent minorities that have been previously underrepresented. However, in doing so, the non-minority groups face indirect discrimination. While Affirmative Action policies have undoubtedly brought us a step closer to achieving racial diversity, it must also strive to accomplish racial equality for it to be viable. Until Affirmative Action policies are able to operate without obscuring the rights of non-minorities, AA policies should be discarded.
